DISCOVERING NEW HORIZONS EVENT
TATE MODERN GALLERY, 22 NOVEMBER 2007

Specially designed graffiti artwork and a roving caricaturist sketching our 70 guests added a further dash of creativity to our event at London’s Tate Modern Gallery.

Following an informal, get-to-know-you buffet lunch, Sally Davis, BT Wholesale’s CEO introduced Discovering New Horizons. The focus of the event was a series of specialist clinics and networking sessions, pre-selected by guests to match their own interests.

Among the clinics, Broadband and the roadmap for the 21st century network, BT Wholesale’s new equipment eCatalogue, interoperability using IP Exchange, and the enhanced BT Locate services were of interest to a wide group of customers.

Existing customers and new resellers took the opportunity to meet their account managers - putting names to faces helps everyone work together better. BT Wholesale made sure that product specialists were also on hand, to discuss specific services in detail and show how these could help meet organisations’ immediate and future needs.

Gallery tours and a River Thames cruise rounded out a friendly and productive day. Find out what our guests had to say about Discovering New Horizons by listening to our vox pop podcast interviews, and check how the event was rated on our Feedback page.

FOOTBALL FOR CHARITY
NEW HORIZONS TEAM HITS LEICESTER!

The newly formed New Horizons football team were set loose in support of Children with Leukaemia, taking part in the 2007 Comms Dealer five-a-side football challenge at the Leicester Goals Soccer Centre on 20 September.
An intrepid team of account managers - Andrew Boyce, Robert Taylor, Jason Scott, David Hart, Nathaniel Hall, Atif Moghal, Bhrugesh Patel and Sagar Parekh - put up a very spirited display despite intensive training (in the pub) to end with creditable scores of 1-0, 8-0 and 4-1, with our single goal being scored by Jason 'Fox in the Box' Scott.
The eventual winners were Excell Telecom with Shine Telecom finishing runners-up.
The real winner however was the Children with Leukaemia charity which benefited to the tune of £10,000. The team is now undergoing even more intensive training so that, with a following wind and extra large goalmouths they look forward to achieving even greater sporting heights next season!
